I am not really very active on social media at the moment.

So apologies to anyone who has left a message or comment there for me.
Sure, I post links to stuff I have written, but I’m really not consuming anything that Facebook or Twitter or Instagram has to offer.
I really do feel it is time for us to break away from these big social media bubbles that take our online social connections with each other and bleach them into monetized algorithms and highly manipulated information feeds.

Despite my growing dissatisfaction with social media, I admit that it does have some really positive aspects. Not for profit organisations and community group pages for example. But then Facebook and Twitter and Instagram takes this goodness… and leverages a whole lot of badness off of it.

Anyway, one problem with not being active amongst the social media feeds is that people can no longer see exactly what you are doing right now.
