Enjoying a coffee in the beautiful (and very Sunday drive popular) town of Healesville.
Map: Healesville
Will this be our last coffee stop for a while?

I don’t know. But the COVID-19 situation is unfolding quickly now. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of non-essential public services, retail, gyms, schools and businesses are forced to lockdown for a couple of weeks in the very near future.
If you were to ask me to speculate, I would say imminently. By the time you are reading this, you will probably know more than us.
But here is some sound advice…

Kelly and I are already minimising our human contact this trip. Being super careful what we touch, washing our hands post everything etc.
The last thing we want is to become a vector for transmission to someone else. Especially someone elderly or immunosuppressed.
A bit later….
We have driven up the road a bit to the town of Yea. We are snugged in to a free campsite behind the local pub. It’s a small space and we are sharing with a couple of others. It will do us just fine for the night.
It was a really pretty drive today. Originally we considered taking a shortcut through the guts of Melbourne. Instead, our actual way more meandering journey through the magnificent Yarra valley proved to deliver just what the doctor ordered.
We are taking one day at a time right now. We have modified our route and our travel behaviours. Weighing up the situation and our responsibilities as we move through it all.
We hope you are doing the same.
