Today is day 91 of no new COVID cases in Canberra. And with the situation appearing well contained in our adjoining states, the possibilities of a sensibly planned road trip are opening.
Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.

Kelly has some leave coming up and I am about to finish my contract at the COVID clinic. So. Even though the lay of the land remains somewhat in a state of flux, we are beginning to plan a rough pencilled-in route.
Analogue planning is recommended. The best-laid trips always seem to begin with a map, a notebook and a pencil. All of which will quickly be lost or abandoned once the journey begins for real.
