Tonight we are free camping at a Lions park right beside the Nambucca river.

This is great. The local Lions Club provide a few large parking spots for self-contained rigs to stay overnight right next to their Macksville park.

That’s all we need. 7×2 metres of level ground. If it’s next to a river and within walking distance of a couple of neat cafes…well that is a sweet bonus.

Update: it’s now 7 pm. Post snacks. Post sundowners. Post evening walk by the river.

The problem with serenity is that everyone wants a piece of it. Our quiet secluded snug is now looking a lot more like a B grade movie rag-tag pop-up convoy camp of post-zombie apocalypse survivors.

Oh well, such is life on the road.
