Content alert: Im going anomalous for the next few weeks.

For the next few weeks, I am going to make 1 very short post each day covering the topic of UFOs or UAP (unidentified aerial phenomenon). If this is something that is of no interest to you, you might like to skip my posts for a little while.

You may have noticed that I have been a little quiet posting here over the last few weeks.
I usually journal a little about topics that are of interest to me. But lately, I have been a little hesitant to post about what has been engaging me…. as it is, well a little out there.

Are you serious?

You may also have noticed that I have made a few posts now covering the topic of UFOs and my own experiences of some unexplained aerial sightings (I have now had 3 in as many months).
After going down the UFO rabbit hole whilst trying to maintain some critical appraisal of the whole thing, I am convinced that there is something going on. A something that is at the very least worthy of investigating further.

So, at the risk of completely losing any credibility as being a sensible, rational and exceedingly handsome bloke, I am going to share my own take on this topic over the next few weeks.
1 very short post each day with some links to information should you care to delve deeper yourself.

To get things started here’s a short video that does a fairly OK job of bringing you up to speed with where mainstream media is concerning this ‘phenomenon’ as it is now often being referred.

The take-away is:

  1. There is a slow but steady increase in the mainstream media coverage of these events
  2. There appears to be increased public engagement by the US military/government on this topic. This may be to test public response to disclosure of information OR for geopolitical gain OR because there really is nothing going on and they just are getting tired of the whole thing.
  3. There seems to be increased anomalous sightings/activity (although this could be simply cognitive biases of people related to the first two points.

The need for critical open-mindedness.

The second thing I will share is a diagram that does an excellent job of covering all the potential causes of this phenomenon that are being proposed by various people.

I say excellent, because it makes it quickly clear that there are a lot of alternate and oftentimes very challenging hypothesis being made in this space.

Potential explanations of UAP.

It’s also pretty easy to read this chart and dismiss the whole thing as a topic for fringe dwellers, lunatics and Qanon conspiracy supporters. That is why I hesitate to post anything more about it.

But perhaps amongst all the noise there is a signal worth sharing.

Morpheus: “You take the blue pill, the story ends; you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.”

The Matrix.

If you are going to follow along you are going to need to be critical of the evidence, question everything and importantly, keep an open mind to explore some pretty paradigm-shattering possibilities.
