Sitting at dawn.
A magpie call
deepens the silence.
Most days I am meditating around six-thirty am. At this time our local magpies are warming up to their morning carolling.
I usually open the window to welcome in the song.
It does not disturb me.
Somehow it only serves to enhance the silence of my sitting.
The picture is of a plaster Buddha head I bought in Byron Bay a million years ago. He is rocking my fave wool beanie and my Sony noise-cancelling headphones.
