No longer a nurse.

Waypoint:

There is the adage that everyone dies twice. The first time when you physically die…and the second time when your name is spoken for the last time.

It kinda feels like that with the end of a nursing career. The first end is when you retire….the second is when you decline to renew your nurse’s registration.

As of today, I am no longer a registered nurse.

Wow. Somehow I feel a little lighter.

  1. Me too after 50 years in the profession. So many changes but we adapted. Don’t know that I feel lighter, more a bit sad. Will all that nursing stuff fall out of my brain now? More time for other pursuits though.
