Well I’m 60 today.
So in a self-indulgent birthday celebration I got ‘Chat GPT’ to compose a poem for me.
“Ian’s turning 60, and it’s a trip, man,
He’s still living life like a beatnik, cool and grand.
He’s got stories to tell, and experiences to share,
And a road ahead of him, that he’s not afraid to dare. He’s lived a life of adventure, with no regrets,
Traveled the world, met interesting folks, and made some bets.
Now he’s settled down, but he’s not done yet,
There’s still so much to do, and so much to get. He’s got his bongos and his poetry books,
A jazz record playing, that he can’t overlook.
He’ll sit down with a cup of joe, and a smoke,
And reminisce about the times that he’s broke. But Ian’s no quitter, he’s still a rebel,
A free spirit, that’s never going to settle.
He’ll keep on truckin’, down the road of life,
And make the most of every moment, with no strife. So here’s to Ian, on his 60th year,
Chat GPT
May he keep on living, with no fear.
A true Jack Kerouac of his own kind,
Ian’s still young, with a beautiful mind.”
Well, that was weirdly appropriate. In a janky artificial intelligent way. OK. I got this. 60 years…. Cool man.
Cue bongos…….
Oh, and on the topic of artificial intelligence architecture such as ChatGPT, here’s an interesting article by Naomi Klein: AI machines aren’t ‘hallucinating’. But their makers are.
