Just a quick update on our forthcoming Japan trip. We are all locked in to leave for Tokyo on the 31st November. Our 21-day itinerary will include visitations to Kanazawa, Takayama, Miyajima, Kyoto and Hakone. 

It will be early Autumn in Japan, so we are looking forward to revisiting some of the places we went to on our last trip as well as discovering some new bullet-train-able destinations. The recent warnings of some sort of mega-earthquake (alerts predict it may happen somewhere between 7 days and 30 years from now….very helpful) hitting Japan will only add a little existential spice to the journey.

As I have been immersing myself in the world of photography lately, I thought all this holiday extravagance to be a perfectly justifiable excuse (ie. I can hide the receipt from Kelly by burying it amongst all the holiday expenses) to buy myself a new camera.

This is a pretty capable bit of kit, and I am still learning my way around her. Expect to be flooded with a photographic blunderbuss of the entire trip.If you are not into Japan, you may want need to look away.
