We took my mum out to celebrate her 85th birthday.
A loverly lunch by the lake, then a quick poke around the Regatta Point ‘Story of Canberra’ exhibition. Nothing left to do after that than make an emergency police escort dash across town for some Gelato.
You know when you were a kid and your mum used to lick her hanky and then wipe it all over your face to clean it?
No? It must have just been me.
Anyways, now I am grown up. No hankies for me.
It was quite some time after the ice cream before mum finally told me I had been walking around with a chocolate fresco smeared all around my moosh. I was wondering why the girl in the bakery looked at me so strangely.
A great day. Happy birthday Mum.
