Here are a few photos I shot today.

I feel I am getting more confident with the basics of using my camera now and my focus is turning to the content of the picture. I would rate all these pictures at 4/10.

There is a big difference between walking around snapping ‘compositionally clever’ visual vignettes of what I see, and capturing a story. An essence of the scene that elicits some level of emotional response. A representation. An interpretation. A presentation.

It is the difference between a photo being a noun and it being a poem. That is what I’m working on now.
