Apex technology.

Technology: from Latinized form of Greek tekhnologia “systematic treatment of an art, craft, or technique”.

The most astounding technological achievement is not the iPhone, or A.I., or starlink…

It is the fact that someone figured out you could pick the seeds of the Cofea Arabica shrub, roast them, grind them, pour boiling water over them and improve your day by exactly one cup of liquid happiness.

This is a sort of test photo to try out my brand-new 35mm lens (a TT Artisan f1.4). The 35 is considered the most versatile lens by many photographers, being in the Goldilocks zone of focal lengths.

At 95 bucks AUD, its a cheapie. But I think it will do me just fine. I now have 3 prime lenses (28, 35, 50mm) for less than the price of a single ‘high end’ lens.

This picture was taken on a miserable winters morning in our kitchen as Kelly brewed a sweet cup of alchemy.
