Camera: Canon AE-1. Film stock: Ilford HP4
I just got back the first roll of film I shot with my Canon AE, after replacing the light seals myself. And as you can see it was a total fail out of ten.
To be honest there is a slight artistic coolness to some of these shots (at least that is how I will spin it to myself) and despite my disappointment at the substantial light leaks, I will nevertheless share a few of them over the next few days.
Then. Its back to the drawing board. I will remove and replace the light seals and give it another attempt.
I really enjoy shooting with film. The whole not being able to get immediate access to the photo, having to make the most out of every shot, waiting for the pics to come back from the lab and forgetting what you photographed in the meantime.
This is not the end of my journey into analogue photography.
–ooOoo–
This photo of a small buddhist alter was taken during my recent 7-day meditation retreat (sesshin). Actually, I quite like the dreamy, airy look of this shot. A pity it is unintentional.
