Janine Pendleton is a photographer with an interest in “exploration of abandoned, lost, decaying and forgotten places. Places which are not usually seen by the public.”

She has travelled all over the world in search of these places and her photographs are hauntingly beautiful glimpses into the feelings of kenopsia they provoke.
Kenopsia is a term that describes the eerie feeling associated with places that are usually bustling with people but are now empty and abandoned. It captures the haunting quality of such locations, evoking a sense of loss and nostalgia.
