First world problems. Part 3.

A quick update.

In case anyone was wondering, I thought I would bring you up to speed with our ongoing air conditioner problems.
See part 2 for the backstory.

After 3 weeks of troubleshooting and banging out heads against various unforgiving surfaces, the source of the problem has been located.

Of course it turned out to be rediculously simple. A single wire going into the controller box up in the roofspace had not been pushed in far enough and was not making contact.

A 0.5 second fix.

Yesterday we had a new electrician (and he was a big unit) up in the crawlspace trying to figure it out. A fresh set of eyes.
Suddenly we heard: “haaaaang on a second
0.5 seconds later the sweet sound of air blowing from the ceiling vents.
5 minutes later the air was hot.

I felt like taking off my clothes and doing a happy dance under the blow.

Like the song says, you don’t know what you got till it’s gone.
Now we have a glorious warm house and no longer need to wrap ourselves in blankets whilst watching TV.

So that’s the final instalment of this story ( touch wood ).
Tonight…a big bowl of popcorn. A cold beer. Sprawl on the couch. And some shiver-free Netflix.
And just like all good story conclusions…we lived happily ever after.

The end.
