This is a simple wooden cross, framed either side by a tree trunk.

The site is on a long sweeping roundabout. I drive or ride pass by it most days but have never noticed the cross until today.

In my minds eye I see a car accident involving the tree. I see the cross cut and planed from the wood of this tree.

But there is no confirmation of any of this.
Just a single sheet of poetry and some dried out flowers and a large iron stake like I have recently seen used to help secure a circus tent.

I love the simplicity of this site…and all its unanswered questions.
