Photo taken of staircase in hotel lobby. Side view with wooden accents. A man is seen walkin down the stairs, but his image is blurred.

Hotel hotel.

You know they are shooting for a pretty exclusive hotel vibe when they name it twice.

Grabbed these two photos in the lobby of the hotel hotel which is located in a trendy area of Canberra re-branded as New Acton. To be honest I really liked the ambience of the place with artistic wooden accents and large planter boxes all over the exterior.

Atmospheric photo of hotel lobby. Silhouette of woman in a dress entering revolving doors. The main focus of the photo is a wooden planked sculpture filling the left side of the photo. This is lit with orange light.

Im pretty happy with how both these photos turned out. The top photo is even a little bit Saul Leiter methinks! I will give myself a 7.9 imposter syndrome points out of 10.

I took the photo of the lady entering the lobby only to look up and see a security camera literally 0.5 meters above my head and pointed right at me. I thought I had better get out of Dodge… just as said lady (who was totally gorgeous) spotted me and gave me a spine-melting smile.

So. Worthwhile. And I will give myself an extra point soaking up that smile.
