Spring is Oscar Mike.

It is spring again. The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.”

— Rainer Maria Rilke

Spring is a teasing promise in Canberra right now.

Today 18 °C. Im out in an optimistic t-shirt, swoop alert raised to amber…..a skip in my step, a flower-powered poem in my heart and just a hint of histamine release in my sinus.

Being a tease, this penumbra of fair weather usually lasts just long enough for everyone to unfold their eudomonia and adjust their wardrobes before snapping back to cold and grey. For a few weeks. At least.

—ooOoo—

Oscar Mike is a (mainly US?)military slang term that means “on the move” or “on mission.” From the letters O and M in the military phonetic alphabet.
