Just when you think you know what is going on in your life, something swoops in from way left field to re-enforce the fact that you have no fricking idea.

My dog Juno fell awkwardly off the couch the other day and has a suspected slipped disc (apparently this is not an uncommon occurrence in this breed). This necessitates minimal exertion for the next 3 weeks. No long walks, no jumping, no steps, no shaking the bejeezus out of his toys. Failure to rest effectively could exacerbate the condition requiring surgery.

Do not be deceived by the cute photo… Juno is the love child of a Shih Tzu and a Snow Leopard. Keeping Juno suppressed in a state of calm, immobile quietude will be about as easy as braiding hellfire.
