Your feedback & sharing my posts fuels my creative juices and stokes my dopamine receptors!
However. In the last few days I have had multiple people tell me that they find it difficult to comment or share posts from my site.
Dropping a comment, they say, is particularly onerous as it requires leaving their name and email and seems to require them to log into the whole ‘WordPress ecosystem’ before they can write their message.
So I have tweeked a couple of things to try to improve this experience. Let me know in the comments if this is working better.
Sharing:
I have turned on some new sharing icons at the bottom of each post. Facebook, Bluesky, Mastodon, and even X. To share a post to your social media platform of choice just click on the icon. Try it and let me know how it works for you.
Commenting:
Updated. The moment I enabled commenting without needing to provide any details I started getting spam comments.
So.
Type your comment and then provide an email (never shared nor shown) and a name in the drop-down box. It looks like this:

You then get a few options if you want to receive email updates. Be sure to hit the bottom slider so you don’t have to provide any details for future comments.
P.S. I LOVE GETTING COMMENTS.
Liking:
Unfortunately hitting the like button requires you to be logged into a WordPress (the host of this blog) site.
If you are not already using WordPress, this is a pain.
So you can better show your love by sharing and commenting.
My hypocracy:
I am not active on any of the popular social media platforms because I don’t like the way they work and I despise the people who own them.
Yet I rely on YOU to share my posts on those very platforms, because, well you know….I am a hypocrite, and…..I secretly want to be famous.

What say you? Please leave a comment!
