Rating (have not yet finished):
Currently reading The Subversive Simone Weil by Robert Zaretsky. This book looks at some of the key concepts of this French philosopher (philosophy of…political, spiritual, religious and science) as well as giving a brief outline of her amazing life (she died at the age of 34).

I had never even heard of this woman until a few days ago (where have I even been?) and find this book (FYI Im about 1/3 of the way in) engaging, inspirational and fascinating.
If you have an interest in philosophy, the big questions of life…. or simply want to know about this very under-acknowledged woman, you might like to check out the video to get to know her a little…. and then consider this book.
Simone Weil was an embodied thinker…she wanted to walk the talk and live her philosophy with integrity and passion. Something all to scarce.
