THEN.
Digital:
- 9.am. Turned on laptop to write this post to flaunt my analogue superiority, got assailed by 7 pop-up notifications, checked into them, got distracted by an email, sneaked a peek at the news headlines, rage posted a 5-word response on Mastodon, fell into my RSS feeds, link-shifted to some rabbit hole of doom posting antidotes, browsed my recent photos (which I only looked at last night), segued to Amazon and ordered a book, updated my apps, checked to see if the new iOS update had dropped, opened a few apps that I haven’t even used in forever (just to make sure I still don’t need to use them),then succumbed to a few YouTube videos.
- 10 am. Realised I had just wasted 1 hour of my life to the suck of endless distraction.
- 10.05 am. Stayed on line to finish this post. Then pulled the plug.

- Currently experimenting with the best temperature to brew my dark signature blend. Dark coffee tends to taste more bitter when brewed at higher temperatures. Yet I like my coffee hot as possibe. 94 C seems to be the sweet spot for me. ↩︎
- I have a recurrent back injury (nurses back) and so I really try to gently loosen it all up first thing. ↩︎
- I don’t keep a running diary or anything. I just doodle shit down. ↩︎
- Ilford HP5 24 exposure. I am still in ongoing battle with the pesky light leaks after replacing the foam light seals a while back. That is why you don’t (yet) see many analogue photos posted here. Let us see how this roll goes….. ↩︎
- I try to limit myself to 3 coffees a day. I often fail. ↩︎
