The Art of Street Photography by Joshua K. Jackson and Sean Tucker was only released a couple of months ago.

I have been waiting to pick up a copy on Amazon but it is has been consistantly out of stock.

Today I found a copy in my local indie book shop. I should have looked there first I guess…and I was happy to pay the few dollars extra just to flip a middle finger to Amazon.

Book cover of 'The Art of Street Photography' by Joshua K. Jackson and Sean Tucker, featuring a striking red background with a black and white photograph of a hand holding a flower.

Sean Tucker is a photographer who produces one of my favorite YouTube channels on the topic (HERE). I was not familiar with Joshua K. Jackson, a street photographer based mainly in London and New York. But a visit to his website (HERE) will give you a pretty quick appreciation of the inspirational gorgeousness of his work.

Now, as you can see from this site, I prefer to shoot in monochrome… but flipping through the selection of color street photography from both these artists gives me pause to reconsider my black and white prejudices.

I have only just started reading the text, but I can see that there is going to be a metric ton of creative and practical information. Two chapters in and already this book has cemented its primo position on the top of my coffee table pile of books.
