Thinking of a short-notice return trip to Japan. This pretty much aligns with last years trip which delivered primo late Autumn foliage. It was the best of times.
Thesis: the risk is always that in trying to step in the same river twice with expectations of identical awesomeness, the second time feels a little flat.
Antithesis: my personal history is clear. The more spontaneous and less planned the map and the more underprepared foreboding I feel before departure….the richer and more rewarding the terrain.
Synthesis: Nichinichi kore kōnichi. Every day is a good day. The world seems so messed up right now…is every day a good day?
How can I not pass up on this opportunity to find out?
