Photo taken outside the Apple store, Sydney. My feet hurt as I try to put some pedestrian space between me and the hunting mass of Boxing Day shoppers.
I had planned to pick up a couple of books from my favorite shop, but the queue to the register was so long that I could have read both of them in the waiting. So that was a scrub.
The cafe’s and chain department stores were more crowded than coconut on lamington.
Unexpectedly, as I pass the Apple store, it seems less busy than usual.
I pulled my camera out of my satchel and fired off a couple of walk-by shots without checking my settings, or my focus, or anything. Busting a little avant-garde lachesism or just stupid lazy. You decide.
“now it’s computers and more computers
and soon everybody will have one,
3-year-olds will have computers
and everybody will know everything
about everybody else
long before they meet them.
nobody will want to meet anybody
else ever again
and everybody will be
a recluse
like I am now.”
― Charles Bukowski, The Continual Condition
