Movie: Dominion

It’s OK, you do not have to watch this movie.

I give this 4.5 stars out of five.

But you probably won’t want to watch it. It contains explicit scenes of animal cruelty and is morally confronting.

The film covers common, routine practices that are a part of the commercial food chain that puts bacon, chicken, steak and other meats on your table.

Not all animal farming follows these practices. For example, I totally applaud this. But if you eat meat, your usual shopping habits have probably supported many animals experiencing a similar fate.

As you can see, due to its content you can’t watch the video here. You will need to hit the link across to YouTube.

So it’s easy to look away, scroll on, and pretend this is nothing to do with you.

My wife’s a vegetarian and I find I’m eating less (although not zero) meat. The eggs we buy are from producers who have low density chickens/hectare (pasture).

PS There is an app called cluckar and if you scan an egg label it will tell you the density.
