BLOC

This picture is my choice for today. Snapped as a window reflection, I captured a workman in a high-vis jacket on his phone. I like the way the window etchings provide an interesting patternation overlay to the scene. I think the man could be a little sharper.

Six out of ten.

I think this will conclude my daily black-and-white photographic challenge. I have learned a lot by just getting out there and photographing stuff (you should see the pics that didn’t make the cut).
The camera has forced me to pay attention to my environment in different and interesting ways.

There is so much to learn about the difference between a simple point-and-shoot happy snap and a more considered, rendered presentation that attempts to capture the story in the moment.
When you spend some time soaking in some of the work of the more famous black and white photographers you get to appreciate that.

Perhaps I feel a new hobby coming on.

So. I will continue to carry my camera with me whenever possible and explore the monochrome medium, posting my effort here as required.

This photo is part of my self-imposed greyscale photographic challenge. Here are the rules.
