Podcast recommendation: Global Roaming.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

For my fellow Aussie readers, I can recommend the ABC radio national podcast Global Roaming with Geraldine Doogue and Hamish Macdonald. An informed, low froth, reliable and balanced take on both local and global current affairs issues.

To maintain some semblance of mental health and wasted time falling down rabbit holes1 I now impose a limiting valve on my mainstream news intake. This podcast has open access to my ears.

They are currently running a mini-series on the future of warfare and in this episode they talk with Jack Watling, Senior Research Fellow for Land Warfare at the Royal United Services Institute. This is a fascinating and informative interview.

  1. I believe that despite the bad wrap, there are actually some rabbit holes well worth exploring. The problem is that there are just so many of them and on the surface they all look like holes. ↩︎

  1. My wife recently recommended this to my as well and I like it too. The other ABC one that I find really good is “If you’re listening”. It is available as a podcast and video. I usually watch it on YouTube.
