The impermanence of what we build.

Old dilapidated structures hold a fascination that pulls me in to explore.

Inside, there is often a palpable sadness at the decay and disassembly.
A sadness exuded by the left-behind objects, the physical structure, and (perhaps more lingering), those lingering echoes from the lives of the original inhabitants.

Old abandoned buildings are a manifest reminder of the impermanence of things. Of lives. Of ourselves.

This makes them both scary and beautiful to explore.
