Welcome to Gas-tralia.

Meanwhile.….WTF, the Australian government has signed off on Australia’s biggest fossil fuel project, the North West Shelf extension.

Allowing Woodside’s massive North West Shelf gas export terminal to run for another 46 years means 4.3 billion tonnes of emissions, equivalent to 12 new coal-fired power stations each year.

“The North West Shelf facility is one of the dirtiest and most polluting fossil fuel projects … despite what the gas lobby says, the reality is we don’t need more polluting gas,”

— David Ritter. Chief executive Greenpeace.

Meanwhile….the effects of climate change-driven drought and floods on our agricultural and livestock infrastructure is threatening food production and devastating livelihoods.
