Anti road rage.

My idea to help curb road rage and improve driver behaviour.

Circular logo containing the text: 100% human generated. In the centre is a scribble drawing of a brain.

A small LED strip mounted inside rear window of the car.

It would be Bluetooth-linked to a panel that could be mounted on the console with buttons that trigger brief flashing messages on the LED screen.

  • THANKYOU!
  • APOLOGIES!
  • THANKS FOR LETTING ME IN.
  • etc etc.

Obviously this idea could be subverted to generate negative messaging…but that would just be a dick move.

Giving positive feedback on the road. It’s a simple thing that could make a difference.

Does such a device already exist? Could someone build it for me?

  1. I’ve sometimes thought this – although not at the best of moments so my messages would read:

    • Indicators… it’s that stalk on the steering wheel
    • Well, you won that ‘race’
    • Back off dude before you share my steering wheel
    • I see you’re a multi-car prang waiting to happen
    • iPhone or road ahead… choices, choices, choices

  2. A wonderful idea Ian. A hand wave in response to flashing headlight to let someone in is clear. Specific words are more powerful – especially for the apologies which are the most important.
