I took this photo whilst passing through the small country town of Ungarie (pop.396).
Driving past, my attention was grabbed by a road-dust shaft of afternoon light illuminating a single framed picture of a woman in one of the old store fronts.
By the time I had pulled over and run across the road with my camera, the sun had shifted behind some clouds, and the scene was slightly less angelically lit.
No matter , I think this photo turned out to be quite interesting.
Happy with myself, I scooted back across the highway and was stuck behind a slow truck carrying heavy farming machinery some way down the road when I realized I had not even looked to see who this mysterious woman was, or why she had been so proudly displayed.
Too much hurry to make a clever picture and not enough presence to discover what that image actually was.
