My dog loves to ride shotgun on the Bunnings trolley. Guarding the baby lettuces and the graffiti removal spray (don’t ask) and doing his canine best to obtain maximum head rubs from passing shoppers.
–ooOoo–
Let me propose that there are two types of people who go to Bunnings:
- The Extractor: (example…me): pretty much know exactly what they need to buy and have a pretty good idea where it is located. Item is acquired.
Quest completed. Exit and home for coffee and item usage procrastination.
Total mission time: 10 min. - The Collector: (example…my partner) pretty much know what they need to buy yet take a circuitous, rambling, distracted path to the approximate vicinity of the required item. New items are identified along the way that may be required at some point in the distant or alt-universe future.
Something something cable-ties and solar powered twinkle lights and plastic storage containers (lots).
More items are identified that spontaneously combust into essential time-critical requirements.
Random shelf components are appraised for cross-compatibility, functionality and lifestyle quotient enhancement.
Mental to-do lists are compiled of things that the significant other needs to fix, adjust, clean, relocate and/or replace. Relevant equipment and other stuff that might be helpful or not is collated and trollied.
Total mission time: hey time is a construct….oh do you think we need a solar powered outside clock?
