Cody Mitchell is a photographer (with a propensity for using analogue film), and videographer who is currently travelling the US in his converted campervan. He has an obvious love of the outdoors and of living a low impact lifestyle which he attempts to convey in his YouTube videos.

His YouTube channel made a random appearance in my feed and I enjoyed the aesthetics of his photography as well as the use of ambient narrative to tell his story.

I have been toying with the idea of making similar ambient videos myself for some time. However, they do take a lot of work to produce, and the very act of making them does interfere with the actual experience of travelling…so perhaps something to experiment with in the future.
