Stunning Autumn colours. The trees are burnt gold and deep toffee plumb and mustard yellows. Underfoot this slippery crunchy fallen canopy wraps Bright in a coat of many colours.
From the Great Ocean Road, to the Victorian Alps. It has been a great trip. And Bright has really turned it on for our final days.
We can feel a crisp cold change in the air but our timing is perfect and this lucky weather window affords us sunny t-shirt days to wander riverside trails and sit & watch everyone taking selfies amongst it.
We are staying at the Bright Big4 van park. It’s not cheap over the weekend, but our site is sweet, and they have a coffee van set up not 10 metres from Ripley’s door that makes excellent coffee in the morning and unexpectedly delicious pizza in the evening.
Tonight we sit outside the local brewery big-scooping spicy vego nachos and sampling beers. Juno skittles around under the table grabbing fallen corn chips (of which there is a feasting because Ian + beer = rubbish eye-hand coordination). Life is good.
Tomorrow we turn for home.
