Craig Bierly is a 71 year old who has been travelling solo the US in his camper van in order to better explore the country via mountain bike. He has now covered 49 states and over 38,234 miles (he logs everything on a spreadsheet).
Craig made the decision to adopt this simple life of personal adventure late in life, at 58.
I used to work for wages as a tool under employer will. Eventually, choosing to shirk the restraints of debt, I sold my house and whatever other stuff people would buy to condense my life to the interior of a Sprinter van and the wide-open outdoors.
Selling up, and hitting the road might not be the best solution for all of us. But Craig’s life is a teaching that it is never too late to make course corrections.
